Dieciséis años antes, un agente de bienes raíces les muestra a un joven Walt y Skyler (embarazado de Junior ) la casa donde eventualmente vivirán. Walt, que entonces trabajaba en el prestigioso Laboratorio Sandia y se imaginaba un futuro brillante con tres hijos, se preocupa de que no estén poniendo sus miras lo suficientemente altas con esta casa.

Acto I

Acto II
Cuatro sicarios del cártel van a un almacén propiedad del proveedor de productos químicos de Gus, Duane Chow , y lo toman a él y a su secretaria como rehenes. Mike aparece y mata sin esfuerzo a los cuatro sicarios. Luego le dispara a Chow en la mano y le ordena que su asistente lo lleve al hospital; la herida es el castigo de Chow por no informar a Gus sobre la situación. En la oficina de Gus, Mike y Gus examinan los pasaportes de los pistoleros y están de acuerdo en que el cartel está buscando puntos débiles para explotar en la operación de Gus.

En el superlaboratorio, Walt y Gale cocinan mientras Víctor los observa desde la pasarela. Aludiendo a haber molestado previamente a Walt, Gale promete seguir sus instrucciones exactamente y ser el asistente de laboratorio perfecto. Walt le asegura que está bien. Trivialidades
Este es el primer episodio dirigido, pero también escrito y dirigido, por Vince Gilligan desde el " Piloto ".
Que Walt se pusiera el característico sombrero negro de pastel de cerdo de su personaje de "Heisenberg" fue idea de Bryan Cranston (que se puso al principio para protegerse del sol del desierto sobre su cabeza recién afeitada mientras estaba en el set).
El teaser de flashback en este episodio es la única vez en la serie que vemos a Walt sin ningún tipo de vello facial.
La traducción al mandarín del intercambio entre Chow y su secretaria: "Peng, ¿sigues ahí?" "¡Por supuesto que todavía estoy aquí! ¿A dónde más puedo ir? ¡¿Qué está pasando?! ¡Tengo un esposo y un hijo en casa, tengo que ir a casa y cuidarlos! ¡No me pagan lo suficiente, alguien ¡Lo mataron justo en frente de mí!"
A pesar de ser el séptimo episodio en el que aparece, este es el primer episodio en el que se menciona a Mike por su nombre, y Saul se dirige a él como Mike en su encuentro en su oficina.
Mike desactiva la seguridad del almacén de productos químicos con varios globos de helio dejándolos flotar hasta una línea eléctrica conectada al almacén. El episodio anterior se llamó " Medias medidas ", en el que Mike dio un discurso sobre cómo tomó una media medida y sucedió algo malo por eso, lo que provocó que Mike le dijera a Walt que no tomara más medias medidas, así que, como dice el título, Walt tomó una medida completa.
La canción "Crapa Pelada" , que se puede escuchar en el apartamento de Gale, trata sobre un cocinero italiano calvo.
Este es el primer episodio que presenta "The Long Walk Alone (Tema de Heisenberg)" , que se convierte en un tema básico.
