Cuando se le pregunta a Saul cómo sabe sobre su negocio, les dice que ha sido su abogado durante algunos años. Mike sugiere una votación.

Skinny Pete (quien se revela que tiene talento con el piano clásico) y Badger compran cuatro de los estuches de equipo de roadie más grandes que pueden encontrar en una tienda de guitarras local y los llevan a la sede de control de plagas; los estuches han sido estarcidos, "Vamonos Pest ", un bono del vendedor. Le piden a Jesse que participe en el nuevo negocio, pero Jesse (dándose cuenta de una mirada severa de Mike) no muerde. Mike informa al equipo de control de plagas y prohíbe robar en las casas. También les ordena que nunca se comprometan con Walt y Jesse sin una invitación, que son "fantasmas".

En la casa de Jesse, Walt y Jesse finalizan los planes para el laboratorio móvil. Son interrumpidos por Andrea Cantillo , quien pasa con Brock Cantillo e invita a Walt a quedarse a cenar. Walt se sienta incómodo con Brock en el sofá; es imposible decir si el niño reconoce a Walt como el hombre que lo envenenó, pero Walt ciertamente se siente incómodo en presencia de Brock. Brock lo mira pero no dice nada, volviendo a su videojuego.

Acto III

Después de que los propietarios se van, Walt y Jesse llegan a una casa infestada en un camión Vamonos . Un empleado, Todd Alquist , se acerca a Walt y le informa que deshabilitó una cámara de niñera en la sala de estar. Walt, impresionado con su iniciativa, le pregunta cómo se llama.

Walt y Jesse arman el laboratorio a partir de los estuches de los roadie y cocinan en una carpa sellada dentro de la casa. Durante un descanso, ven la televisión y beben cerveza en el sofá de la sala. Walt pregunta por Andrea y dice que Jesse puede decidir por sí mismo si contarle sobre su trabajo; si no puede confiar en ella, entonces no hay forma de que puedan seguir adelante.

En el lavado de autos , Marie Schrader le dice a Skyler que Hank Schrader está de regreso en el trabajo e insiste en que Skyler planee una fiesta para el cumpleaños de Walt. Cuando Skyler saca un cigarrillo, Marie la regaña porque no ha fumado en años. Ella sigue regañando sobre esto y aquello, poniendo nervioso a Skyler, quien le grita que se calle. Marie, al principio claramente herida, pronto se preocupa y desconcierta por el arrebato.

Acto IV

En el nuevo "laboratorio", Jesse y Walt pesan la metanfetamina y Walt admira el excelente rendimiento. Cuando salen de la casa, Jesse pone en marcha el sistema de fumigación para terminar el trabajo de control de plagas: la espesa niebla enmascara rápidamente cualquier rastro de los humos de su propia producción. Walt encuentra a una preocupada Marie esperándolo en casa . Skyler descansa en el dormitorio mientras Marie relata el colapso de Skyler y presiona a Walt sobre su origen, preocupada por el bienestar de su hermana. Ella no se irá hasta que él se lo diga. Walt, acorralado y queriendo desviar cualquier sospecha de sí mismo, le dice que Skyler tuvo una aventura con Ted Beneke., que ahora está en el hospital. Marie está sorprendida y le lanza a Walt una mirada de lástima mientras intenta consolarlo. Walt le ruega que lo mantenga en secreto y que no le mencione nada a Hank ni a Skyler. Marie se va todavía estupefacta. Walt mastica felizmente una manzana después de que Marie se va, después de haber acusado a Skyler de ser la única fuente de sus problemas maritales.

En la casa de Jesse, Andrea y Brock juegan videojuegos mientras Jesse se distrae. Andrea le pregunta si está bien. Después de levantarse de la cama, Skyler encuentra a Walt y Walter White Jr. viendo Scarface en la sala de estar. Ella mira en silencio pero con desaprobación, mientras los dos se deleitan con el sangriento tiroteo de Al Pacino. Al escuchar a su hijo hablar sobre la violencia con tanta indiferencia, Skyler está claramente perturbada por este cuadro.

De vuelta en la oficina de Vamonos, Mike divide las ganancias en tres montones: $367 000 cada uno. Primero toma $40,000 de cada pila y se los da a Jesse por los $120,000 que adelantó para la nueva configuración. Mike toma dinero de cada montón para pagar a los conductores de distribución y al equipo de fumigación de Ira. Pero Walt se resiste cuando Mike toma dinero adicional de cada montón para pagar a sus nueve hombres encarcelados, lo que Mike llama "costos heredados". Walt está indignado por la audacia de Mike, pero le dice a Walt que, dado que mató a Gus, son su responsabilidad. Jesse, incómodo con ellos discutiendo por dinero, se ofrece a cubrir la parte de Walt. El orgulloso Walt finalmente cede, insistiendo en que pagará sus propios gastos, pero quejándose amargamente de la reducción de sus ganancias netas. Después de que Mike se va, Walt le pregunta a Jesse cómo se siente al respecto. Jesse informa con tristeza que rompió con Andrea porque era inevitable. Walt lo interrumpe; estaba preguntando por el dinero. Jesse razona que, en última instancia, obtendrán una parte más grande del pastel que cuando trabajaron con Gus, por lo que no deben quejarse, ya que, en última instancia, todavía lo están haciendo mejor.y son sus propios jefes. Walt no está de acuerdo, y cuando están a punto de irse, menciona a Víctor . Tal vez, supone, Gus no solo mató a Víctor para enviar un mensaje.

Trivialidades

Walt y Walt Jr. miran una escena clásica de la película Scarface (1983) . Vince Gilligan a menudo ha descrito el arco del personaje de Walter White como "Tomar a Mr. Chips y convertirlo en Scarface".

Curiosamente, Scarface presentó en papeles secundarios a varios actores que también estuvieron en Breaking Bad como personajes secundarios, incluidos Mark Margolis (Héctor Salamanca), Steven Bauer (Don Eladio) y Míriam Colón (la abuela de Tuco en Better Call Saul ).

Una escena con Walt y Walt Jr. viendo Scarface apareció originalmente en la versión Pilot (guión de 2005) del guión de especificaciones de " Pilot ", pero se eliminó antes de la filmación.

Hank Schrader no aparece en este episodio. Esto posiblemente se deba a que el actor Dean Norris había obtenido un nuevo papel en el programa de CBS Under the Dome y había expresado su deseo de que el personaje fuera asesinado en 5A debido a su nuevo compromiso.

Este es el episodio menos visto de la temporada 5, con solo 2,20 millones, mientras que otros sirvieron como el episodio más visto de la serie.

El título proviene de Mike prometiéndole a  Dennis Markowski que recibiría su pago por riesgo, y también es por lo que Walt y Mike pelean al final del episodio.

Vince Gilligan ha dicho que él y sus escritores están orgullosos de la nueva configuración que han hecho para que Walt y Jesse realicen transacciones de cocina. la vida real, pero si lo fuera, sería un verdadero desafío.

Vamonos Pest usa cyfluthrin para su trabajo de nebulización, y también tiene estantes llenos de bromadiolona y glifosato (Roundup).

La tira de papel en la que Walt gotea un líquido para obtener un cambio de color es probablemente un papel indicador de pH. Esto sugiere que Walt está usando el pH de una mezcla como indicador para determinar cuándo se ha completado una determinada reacción.

La escena de Walt y Jesse bebiendo cerveza en el sofá se usa en The Simpsons Couch Gag en el episodio 17 de la temporada 24  'What Animated Women Want'

Walt le dice a Jesse al final del episodio que tal vez Víctor "voló demasiado cerca del sol". Hank usó esta misma línea con Walt Jr. cuando Walt Jr. pidió el Dodge Challenger en lugar de un auto más barato. 

Cuando Mike le dice a Walt que pagar a los muchachos en prisión es "lo que haces", Walt lo descarta como que Mike gastó dinero en un código personal innecesario y opta por matarlos a todos en su lugar. Pero en episodios posteriores, Hank puede cambiar fácilmente a Huell convenciéndolo de que Walt lo quiere muerto como un "cabo suelto". En realidad, esto reflejó muchos casos de la vida real, en los que los jefes del crimen mataron a sus subordinados con demasiada facilidad y los que aún estaban vivos recurrieron rápidamente a la policía por temor a que fueran los siguientes. En otras palabras, el código de Mike es la forma inteligente y razonable de lidiar con el mundo del tráfico de drogas. Mike sabía lo que estaba haciendo y Walt simplemente no tenía ni idea.
